Board Positions

Chair

  • Responsible for overall association management
  • Lends help and support as needed to all other board members
  • Organizes and leads board meetings

Vice Chair

  • Assists in overall association management
  • Lends help and support as needed to all other board members
  • Organizes and leads board meetings in the absence of the Chair
  • First option  to  assume  Chair  should  unexpected  vacancy  occur

Membership Chair

  • Reviews applications for memberships and brings any applications in question to the board for review
  • Reviews applications for renewal of membership and brings any applications in question to the board for review
  • Monitors the effectiveness of membership policy and procedures and suggests updates and changes to the advisory board for consideration

Treasurer

  • Oversees financial operations including membership, conferences, continuing education, etc.
  • Manages budgets, banking, accounts payable and receivable
  • Forecasts annual budgets/special event costs/new project estimates

Communications Coordinator

  • Maintains official records of association meetings and other activities
  • Receives, answers, and/or directs inquiries about CCSPA via email

Technology Chair

  • Maintains the association’s website, organizing how information will remain current on the website
  • Manages social media accounts

Organizational Liaison

  • Develops and maintains relationships with various organizations and agencies that directly impact the lives of collegiate student-athletes
  • Serves as spokesperson for the CCSPA and shares feedback with the board from interactions with various agencies
  • Identifies strategies to further promote the field

Education Chair

  • Identifies professionals and practitioners to provide educational podcasts and webinars for members’ continuing education opportunities
  • Collaborates with the Technology Chair to coordinate, implement, and advertise CE opportunities

Research and Information Chair

  • Organizes and creates drafts for position and consensus statements, as well as organizational documents
